This two-stage project provides information about early printing in Canton and Macau, then focuses on Macanese in Hong Kong who expanded the technology into many different areas. In the process, their use of printing in publishing, journalism, packaging and labels, advertising, and banking helped stimulate a new global economy that linked Asia, Europe, and the Americas.
