Every few years my colleagues and I attempt to update our information on Macanese (Luso-Asian) communities around the world. This year, we’re using e-mail, social media, and print, targeting the United States, Macau, Hong Kong, Latin America, Europe, and Australia. As other communities are identified, we will also send secondary posts.
The 10 question survey is written in English and Portuguese, and asks general questions about current locations, cultural identity, family size, origins, and interest in international business and cultural travel. All the information from individuals is kept private and only general summaries of the results will be published. A key feature in this year’s survey is that it will be kept open throughout the year (may be longer), and results will be posted every few weeks.
